Two weeks later of the chinese biggest web-shopping day 11.11, here comes the US Black Friday, even the websites in China show the clock count down!
Will it beat the 11.11 this time?  I don't think so, cause we have five times of population than you. But I do think the US merchants should do more thing to let the chinese buyer know more and have more access to this day, so to increase their sales!  
Here are the reasons:
    First,  you may have no idea how many purchasing agents in Taobao who sell imported commodities from overseas, and the agent number is increasing. Also, more and more young consumers in China wanna buy authentic, safe and reliable real things from overseas, most of them barely have the chance to shopping abroad considering the costs. So, once they have the easy and convenient access to foreign goods, they would love to shop.
    Second, the domestic luxury market online is flooded with counterfaits. Even what we buy in physical stores can be faked ones. Recently, Tianjian reported a crime of  faking LV, GUCCI, BURBERRY and other world known brands, the crimimals sell the faked ones at the price of original products, and the total money involved might be up to 100million Yuan.  And for so long, the consumers do have little trust on the luxuris sold in web in China.
   Third, the price is affordable.  If we buy directly from the seller overseas, though there will be freight we need to pay in plus, there's no agency commision which is also high, and meanwhile the international express service is becoming more and more cheap.  But, there are chinese merchants who know about this, they export the counterfaits first and then sell to domestic consumers from overseas by delcaring they are authentic.  So, if any US merchants who wanna involves in this business, do make sure that everything is original and showed to the customers in China.
 
As I see, there is a big market in China for overseas businessman, but there's still barriers and the most important one is about the payment. Paypal what's used the most in EU and US will not gonna work here in China cause it charges too much for its service, while Alipay is the most popular app we use for online payment, so working on this before you open your retail business to Chinese.
