How to choose a proper waterproof box?

Though this plastic cases are not bulletproof, but they are tough and have an IPXX waterproof rating. Before that, let’s firstly tell you how these waterproof boxes are tested:

1. Waterproof test of course. 

     The box will be taken into the deep water for different criterions, for example, IPX8, IPX7 etc., (IPXX, the first X represents the dustproof ability, the second shows you how waterproof the case is, IPX8 is the best level according to current criterion.) Besides the normal IP test, there’s always a extreme waterproof test to see at what depth the box will leak, we mainly manufacture IP67 waterproof box and IP68 watertight box.

2.compression resistant test.

     The waterproof box will be laid flat, in the laboratory, increasing weight will be putted in the box to see when it starts to crack. To show it vividly, we drive on it to represent it. 

3.Drop Test followed.

      Usually we will let the waterproof box fall from 5M height, and see if the falling will make it open or damaged seriously.

4.Shockproof ability test.

      The watertight box sample will be shocked from 3 directions, and testing standard is in the testing and after the testing, the sample shall be no deformation or destruction, and shall be of good watertightness.

Most of the waterproof boxes are of similar structure: Basically, with lid, bottom, handle most importantly the sealing ring.  Some of you note that there’s air balance valve in the some of the waterproof cases, and it works to make the case easy to be opened in extreme conditions, but meanwhile the more holes in the waterproof case body, the less waterproof it is.

The most frequently requested functions of the box and case are the waterproof, compression resistant and drop-proof.
