I was pretty cool about it in the past two weeks, this 11.11 shopping festival did not earn my a penny. Everything is as usual ans I just bought some essentials for my baby.
I was cool until I received the messages from my husband showing me what he's get for my baby, a eletronic toy dog! It makes no sense to me why my baby need this toy, he does not need it to teach him how to walk, and all the dog can do is singing, and the baby already have a little toy piano sings for him.
Ok, it turned out that the daddy is boring and viewing what's on sale online while the baby saw this dog and asked for it.
For me, I really don't know why the 11.11 exist.
Firstly, there's no real big discounts as the prices on that day are nearly the same as usual. At least they are from the shops I usually visited.
Secondly, it creats a perfect chance for the e-shops who needs to fake their sale scores. Billions of deals happens that day so no one will notice that the selling records are faked by hiring people to make it happen. Honestly, I have no trust at all with the comments to the commoditis, good ones could be faked by internet water army who got paid, the bad ones could be from the competitors. A couple of years ago, I even received threatening messages from the e-shop owners due to a bad comment I made, this happens on many people and they were harassed and abused if they did not revise their comments into good ones. Not long after, the e-shop owners change their strategy by refunding money upon receipt of good comments.
Third and the most important reason, I will never spend big money to buy these online commodities cause I don't know if it's authentic, I can not see it in real before I buy it. CCTV reports also there are online shopping merchants who sell counterfaits. Not to mention I really can not verify if a commodity is real or not through the comments the previous customers made. Even if I did bought one, I will never get rid of the doubt if it's authentic or not whenever I face it.
So, why bother I should be passionate with this so-called Final 11.11 shopping Festival?
I read a news yesterday about this 11.11 transaction numbers, even Alibaba itself admit that they can not guarantee this number is real and true. I'm afraid they know clearly there's fake deals, though they do have policy to punish the merchants who cheat, but they can not punish everyone. They are not able to inspect every commodity before the merchants sell them out, and they can not track each deal to make sure it's real. And people just so easily lose their conscience when they are driven by diesire of money.
We can not correct our behaviors overnight but at least we can start change from ourselves, right?
Mutual trust is the basic culture of a society, and we have to built it for our offsprings.
I'm doing business too, producing and selling waterproof and crushproof plastic cases for outdoor sports, customers from worldwide, and we do it with our sincerity.
